Hot Whiskey Tap
Brand presence at the front of a bar is hard to get.
So is a good hot whiskey in a busy bar.
In our final year of university, my classmate and I were given a brief to design a new way of distributing for a DIAGEO brand of our choice. After deciding on Bushmills, we spent time understanding them, their ambitions and consumer perceptions of them.
We wanted to find a drink they could define and enhance for consumers. Hot Whiskey was picked because of its unique comforting warmth, and the difficulty involved in its making. The tap dispenses a measure of whiskey, and then hot water.
We built a business case around the tap, which drew the attention of several distilleries. The tap also took us to the finals of Kildare’s Young Entrepreneur Competition.
